moving spring hangers up

has anyone tried removing and moving spring hangers up to lower their truck? i dont see what it wouldnt work, combined with shackles, and removing some leafs (c20).

Ill have the bed of anyway while im cutting it down to a short bed and building a c notch.

Yes.

Did about a dozen C10s that way back in the day.

My red truck was a daily for 30 years and 200,000 miles. Cut coils in front, relocated spring hangers in rear.

Nice! i just couldnt see spending the money when i can make mine work just moving them up

Yup.

I think those cost me $1.38 in grade 8 bolts plus a front end alignment.
