Re: Next Project: Dash Pad Replacement
Here is the dash pad photos thread, including detailed photos of back side of original dash pad, and Astro-Balls contributed very detailed photos of recovering in the wayback machine save. https://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vbo...d.php?t=793182

On another note, I'm getting concerned about Classic Industries. I see on their website that my order is confirmed, but has not yet been shipped, nor have I received the promised e-mail confirmation. Made two phone calls yesterday but no one answered. I sent a message via their website, but got a reply saying I hadn't registered to receive notifications from them (or something to that effect). They get until end of business today before I call Visa and dispute the charge. So much for my positive comments about them earlier in this thread.

Re: Next Project: Dash Pad Replacement
I had a factory original that was in good shape except for one small crack.
I had my buddy to recover it with the same material he used for my seat. He added the orange top stitch that makes it kinda unique.

Re: Next Project: Dash Pad Replacement
I just stumbled upon this thread. I did 'reskin' my dash pad (way back when) and documented the process, materials used, etc. Here's a link:
https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=804227 I had never done this before, this was the first time and it wasn't that difficult. I still have the truck, and the pad is holding up well, no issues at all. I was fortunate to get in touch with Mitch (Astro Balls) who helped in sourcing the Fawn material. I only met him through this board, never in person, but a great guy for sure. Kevin

Re: Next Project: Dash Pad Replacement
If you have time I recomend Rick's Custom Upholestry in the venders section. He did mine along with the sun visors and with the rest of the interior. I had a vision of what I wanted for my 50th Anniversary truck.
