Removing Ball Joints

Can I grind the rivots off to remove the ball joints on the control arms since i will be replacing them?

Grind off, drill off or chisel them off and drive them out with a pin punch.

Just did my uppers. Drill a 1/4 in hole in them and the hit them with a good sharp chisel. The head will pop off then drive the rest of the rivot out with a punch

I use a press but you can rent a tool for free from AZ that will remove and install.

The lower ball joint requires a press to get it out of the lower arm and a press to put the new one back in place. Unless you have access to one you are going to have to get an auto machine shop to help you.
