Holley carb

On the subject of carbs (AGAIN!!!)
Anybody ever use the Holley M2M-C Autozone sells? Product #64-7659? I figure Holley is a good name in carburetors, and it costs more than the El Crapo Champion. I know, I know, you're all gonna tell me to rebuild my boo boo old one.... although i shouldn't call it boo boo since its lasted 24 years

To put it simply:

Get the cheapest 2 barrel you can find (any rebuild "brand" will do they're all the same shyte). Slap it on and pray it works. If it does, good. If it doesn't, take it back and swap another one in. Keep doing untill you find one that works.

LMFAO, kinda like what my dad said: they take a few 50 gallon drums of carbs and send them to Child Slave Land and throw a bunch of parts at em, then semi-try and organize them by what they *might* be. BUT i know and trust the local people at Autozone so if something is, awry, they will straighten it out. I'm just dreading this carb business, such a crucial piece of the puzzle.

Son, no offence, but trust NOTHING at "vato"zone. Holley carb rebuilds aren't that great, either. The one good thing about AZ, is that they don't tend to give you too much hassle when it comes to warranty.

Well here's my philosophy: people in general on message boards everywhere usually don't post when something *works*, rather only the people who have problems post, making it appear a product is bad. Who knows how many people crawl this and other boards with great rebuilt holley carbs And I'm not about performance, if it runs better than it does now, wihch it can't run worse, then its an upgrade. And on longevity, hopefully by the time i ger to and graduate college i can have the funds to get a Mr. Goodwrench Crate motor 350. I don't think asking for 6 years outta this carb is too much Or is it?

Oh and the warranty thing : my dad bought some "lifetime warranty" brake pads from AZ, and they suck, but we can get new ones whenever, i think he said he's paid for maybe 3 sets of brake pads in his life, over 3 vehicles
Get In The Zone! Vato Zone!
thanks for the advice Marc!
