cab mounts
My cab mounts are getting kinda rotted for some reason. Is there a way to replace them without taking the cab off? Like loosening one side, jacking the cab up a little, slide them out and put the new ones in?

Yep you can do one side at a time just like you said.. I t would help if the carpet was easy to get up so that you can access the bolt's....

When jacking carefully watch the clearances between the doors and the front fenders, make sure they don't touch, also put your ebrake on as the shifting of the cab could knock the truck out of gear.

Yeah, I can vouch that jacking the cab up knocks the tranny out of park. I moved pretty quick too when I let the jack down.
I just replaced the mounts and it was an easy task. Don't forget to loosen the radiator mounts up too. |
