This K20 that I sold Jim was a good candidate for most rusty. It had several generations of bondo in it. One almost broke my foot when it fell from the back of the cab. Jim has it rebodied and looking good now.

LOL Yes CPNE, that's the one I had In mind. That's one reason I like living in the Midwest VS the Northeast. Not as much salt used.

Here's a couple quick pics of my first truck, and the back part of the frame. If you look closely right above the spring, you can see a large chunk of the frame that rusted away. When I got my 72, me and a couple friends grabbed some parts, and I got rid of the rest.

this is my green 67 that you may have seen before. So far I have replaced all of the floors under the tank, both L & R outer rear floors, L & R front floor pans, all cab supports (some were rotted 3 or 4" past what they give you on the new cab supports so I had to fab up the remainder), out riggers both sides, cab corners, inner & outer rockers, front foot kick panels, inside door corners & outer door bottoms. The front & rear fenders are toast, so is the bedfloor, tailgate & the hood. When I'm done, I'll be using very little of the origional truck! I think this one pic sez it all.

I almost forget about this one, I bought this Blazer tub to use the bedsides for my Jimmy, the rest of the truck is in pretty good shape, I ended up using the rocker boxes from this truck and barely had to do anywork to them. This is what 25 years of sitting in a junkyard with carpet on the floors does.

Re: lets see the worst rust projects

agree with ^^^, some of these make me not feel so bad about myrust bucket. my driver floor board is mostly gone, all 4 cab supports, both rockers, both rear cab corners inside and out, hole in center top of the dash, holes in front of the front fender wells and bed floor is pretty much toast.

Re: lets see the worst rust projects

A little bit of rust on the bed, the frame broke in 2, and the back half of the cab fell competely off when i cut the roof off. Only thing holding it was the fuel line lol.

Re: lets see the worst rust projects

Not my photo, not a chevy truck, but worth sharing I think you'll agree. Of all the rotten project I have seen, wanted to buy for some crazy reason - in real life or photos, this one is rough.
