anybody make a coilover kit for our trucks?

you can use the qa1 kit from jegs I run their shocks with jegs mounts.h

was it a direct bolt up? or was there a lot of measuring?
the reason i got coilovers in my head was an old issue of classic trucks from 97. there's an install of a classic performance products kit in a 67-72. now i cannot find them. i love the ride of coilovers in my mustang. i figure they would be good in a truck also |

I think you're looking for Classic Performance Products. They have two kits, one with a 3" drop and one with a 4 1/2" drop. Go here scroll down a little and you'll find them. The instruction are available online from their site. I was originally going to go with one of their kits and then decided I needed something more. Haven't heard anything but good about the company.

I love the ride and driving with the coilovers! I don't think I could do heavy hauling or towing with the springs on mine but you could run a stronger spring! It was definatly not a bolt in! It was more like a weld in. I want to get the rear of my truck a little lower so I'll address that while the bed is off! We installed the shocks with the bed on but If I had it to do over I would have pulled the bed!

primed - so you cannot adjust your coilovers? thats one of the main reasons i wanted them. that and the smooth ride
i see that i can just order the brackets. then just order an adjustable qa1 coilover kit like djracer, correct? the best of both worlds, adjustability and easy install. |

I am a little lost guys.... what is the main advantage of having coil overs over haveing the stock set up? is it for racing or comfort of ride?

they ride good, hook great, and my shocks are adjustable for firmness

I don't have adjustable shocks with mine but right now I have about 4-1/2" of adjustment up or down.

Mine have 10 or 12 clicks of adjustment to change firmness! Mine are actual drag shocks! If I drove it allot I'd run the street versions because the ones I have are meant for the street they have rod ends instead of rubber bushings.
