Muncie

Id say the muncie is worth 300 to 500 bucks for it depending on the date and if its all there and working, i just bought one at a swap meet for 200 bucks out of an old Chevelle, i got a good deal, average price around 400 bucks. Just my 2 cents worth.........

definatly low ballin!!!!!!

If you get the numbers off of it I can decode it for you.

just to help with ideas on priceI have seen complete 4-speed change overs for gto's sell in the 1200-1500 range, but that included everything. I would guess around 500-800 bucks

If you have the numbers an dthe tranny handy just got to this site and it will help you ID the trans.

A used m20-m21 run a bout 200-300 depending on condition.

A used m22 "rock crusher" is worth about 500

Add 25-40% for a rebuilt ready to run version.
I am coming up with these prices from seeing them locally. Remember that these trans are regarded as the tops. but in reallity. they are old technology and are good trans. but there are better out there. the people that seek them usually want the mystic of owning one or are building a numbers car. the market in your area may vary wildly from my area.

Good luck.

I am sorry to hear about the ( rock crusher) being a saginaw, that's what they put in Vegas and other small non-performance models. OK if not abused
but not worth the 500 that the rockcrusher is.

trans

Is it a T-10 (aluminum case)? T-10's can be worth some money (not as much as a muncie, although I have seen some super T-10's go for big bucks). I have one in my 67 longbed.
