Roller Rocker Questions - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I debating about replacing my regular rockers with roller rockers or roller tip rockers. My engine curently runs about 300 hp and I'm looking for all the low dollar HP I can find. If I use roller rockers do I need to use the tall valve covers? Running about .480 lift and have been told the if you are runnning less than .500 lift that roller rockers would not be of real benifit, but roller tip rockers would be worthwhile. Need you guys opinions. Thanks
