Steering stabilizer To make or to Buy?
Ok, from the feedback of my previous message. Think I am going to start with trying the steering stabilizer to solve my problem.
First I must check to make sure the steering box was mounted on the truck correctly. It is a 67 C10, I hear that the frame on this year was not made ofr power steering boxes. Looks like they burnt two holes in the inner fender well with a torch to get the lines to the steering box, doesn't give me a very good feeling of how the box is mounted. Anyway, after I check if I can infact attach a steering stabilizer, does anyone know if I can purchase the hardware and the shock at a local auto parts store, or would I be best off to buy mail order from LMC, Chevy Duty, MotherTruckers etc.... I see adds locally for a single for a 4 wheel drive, not sure if this would work? Thanks for all the help!! |
