Column to Floor Shift Conversion

Hello,
I have a 72 truck which came out of the factory with a floor shift manual(high hump). It now has a column shift auto with the hole in the tranny tunnel covered by plate.
I was contemplating changing it back to a floor shift when I start overhauling her. Will this be a huge job? I am currently running a 350SBC with a TH400..... Was thinking of going with a Lokar type shifter coming through the floor and putting in a flaming river or similar polished column....

Cheers
Lee
