71 K20 Pics
Just drove up and picked up my new pick-up...
From Indianapolis area to just south of the Green Bay WI area. Good haul but worth it I hope!!! What I have is a 1971 Chevy K20 4x4. Rebuilt engine has approx. 10,000 miles on it and runs pretty strong. Everything works so far. Body is pretty badly rotted but looks like all the metal is avalible. Needs front end work, tires and an overall clean up/tune up. Paid $750 and cost about 120 in gas to get it. So for about 850 this is what I got. Per the glove box sticker is came with; F60 & G50...Heavy duty springs front and rear. M49............Turbo Hydro automatic A28.............Sliding rear window ( not there now) F76.............Locking front hubs LS9.............Engine 253.............Ammeter, Oil temp and battery volts guages 600.............Black vinyl trim Has power steering and power brakes with disks on front, but not sure where to tell if they are factory. Overall I think it was a fair price. I'll be working on it soon to use as a driver/work truck. Any ideas on what I should look at or change to make the truck mechanically strong or at least dependable. Once I get the mechanics trustworthy I'll try to start on the cosmetics. Thanks... |
