Flexplate two piece main to one.....
I have a question about my turbo 350 in my 84 C10. I'm installing a 87 350c.i. and of course it has the one piece main seal. The flex plates (the one on the 82 305) are the same Diameter (168 tooth). I know the 86 and newer are externally balanced and the older one is internally balanced. I'm using the correct externally balanced flexplate. I have the motor in w/4 bolts right now ( two top block bolts and motor mount bolts). I crawled under it and The flexplate seems to be pinched on the torque converter. I thought I could spin the torque converter to line it up but no. I had the converter off to replace the front seal while in there and I did spin the converter until it clicked on. Could I not have the converter all the way on??
