Idle help - When AC is on truck dies

Looking for a little help.

I have my 350 with automatic idleing just right. When I turn the AC on, it drops about 200 and many times the truck dies. I hear that there was/is an original or after market option to solve the problem. Something to do with with either electric or vacuum signal to the carburetor that rasies the idle when the AC is on. I am currently runing a Holley 600. Will replace it to solve the problem.

I don;t really want to idle it fast to keep it runnig when the AC is on.

Anyone heard of the problem and how to solve it.
