3 hour posi swap
I put a posi in the truck, and was able to get it done in three hours, as opposed to the usual 8-10. The main thing that made the difference was I used the old bearings off of the open diff. Taking them off without destroying them took a little care, but all in all it was worth the time. I reinstalled the posi with the same factory shims and the gear pattern was right on. Of course this only worked out because I was re-using the same ring gear, and the pinion stayed in place. The best part, is that the posi took me from 14.72 to 14.14 in the quarter.
