Wheel Size, backspacing, etc. TIE ROD PROBLEMS

I want to buy some wheels for my 1968, where I currently have 15x8 Chevy rally wheels with 4 inch backspacing. I have the option to buy some 15x8 wheels with a 3 5/8 or 4 5/8 backspacing or I can get a wider 15x10 with the same backspacing options. I really want the 15x10 wheels but if I get them in the 4 5/8 backspacing will they hit the tie rod or if I get them in the 3 5/8 backspacing will them stick out too far and chip up my nice paint job. Decisions decisions. Or is it the best option to stick with the 15x8 with the 3 5/8 backspacing? This sucks not knowing...please let me know if you can.
