Post Spindle questions / drop spindles?

Are there any differences between 71 and 72
model spindles?
I have a '71 and the pass-side spindle looks
to be worn on the outer bearing race, looks
like the nut was left a little too loose and
the bearing seat spun. I have access to some
'72 model spindles, Can I use them?
On the flip side, I can get news ones with a
2.5" drop on the front...which that would be
the absolute max for me ( I really dont care
much for the lowered look ) but doing that
will require lowering the back some. I have
coils, so if I go the drop spindle, is 4"
drop in the rear too much? Can I still use
the stock track-arm, or will it need to be
relocated as well? Then I assume different
shocks...I dont mind doing the work -or-
spending the bucks....Just need to know. My
thinking is, if I lower it the 2.5"/4.0" it
will handle a little better...I already have
a 1-1/4" front sway bar and urathane bushings
I am currently going thru the front end...and
of course, now is the time to do it RIGHT,,,
cause its turning out to be alot of work.

Any thoughts welcome, I needs assistance..
