automatic 72 suburban to 5 speed getrag?

I am hoping to get some advice from some different people who have done this. I have an automatic 72 2 wheel drive suburban that I want to put a 90's model chevy 5 speed getrag manual transmission in. I was hoping to get some prep advice on some different ways to do this to make the transition go smoothly and timely.

I would like to know about the drive shaft situation, since it is a multi piece drive shaft if one out of something else would be the right length and right spline or would I have to have one cut down.

Also what about the tranny crossmember situation and will a manual pedel setup out of the 67-72 work with the hydrolic clutch master.

Any info, details, and advice on the different ways to do this and how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
