brake hose help!!!

Background:
I'm in the process of installing disk brakes on my '67 C-20. I have all the parts from a '71-72 C-20. I bought new front calipers from GMC Paul's (NICE), but I can't remember where I bought the hoses.
The problem is while trying to install the hose on the caliper, I noticed that the end of the hose won't fit flush on the caliper. The end of the hose has some sort of a "pin" sticking out of the round end that looks like I'd need to cut off.
What am I doing wrong??? The caliper has a place for the hose end to fit, but not this pin thing!

Thanks!
Dave
