holley carburetor help

yeah my truck died on the way to school this morning. took some real trying to get it restarted and now i checked it out... it barely idles well actualy it wont stay at an idle for more than a second or 2... and gas comes out of a hole that stands up in front of the choke area when it almost dies... its getting all over my polished aluminum intake and pissing me off. its a 600 cfm electric choke. does anyoen know why the gas is coming out of this hole and why it wont idle and keeps stumbling and missing? its a fairly new carburetor and hasnt given me hardly any problems up till now
