the good the bad and the ugly... my weekend

The good
Well i finally got most of the loose ends tied up on my 5 speed swap this weekend, go the tranny tunnell in it and shifter boot on the tranny shifter, then i got my new speedo cable hooked up. so i got it all read to run again.
The bad
still need to bend the 4x4 shifter a little to get it to fit better, and i need to get the hole covered with some sort of boot so hot air won't keep blowing up my pants.
The ugly
today on my way to work i was enjoying the ability to cruise at 7 mph and 2500 rpm and kept hearing an intermitent howl. was getting concerned about my new tranny, and then ...griiinndd clunk. started to slow down without me telling it to and struggling like it had a load. i pulled off the road and found out that the pinion bearing had toasted itself in the D60 . now i have to swap my 14 bolt into... oh well
