Finally Mobile!!!

It ain't exactly legal, with all the missing parts you can't see here, and the open manifolds , but who cares - it's RUNNING! We actually took it down the (country) road and back, ran it up to 60 or so, and everything was fine. I have been wondering for a long time how all of these different parts were going to work together (or not). We drove the donor for the V8, so we knew it was good, but the other parts were untested - like the 4spd having all gears, the clutch adjusted right, PS smooth, cooling system - y'know, all those minor details.



Knock on wood, but everything is working just fine, smooth and solid. Since we took the fenders off, there's some more green to paint over, but that's a minor thing. The new fenders arrived (from Tim) in perfect shape, so they'll go on soon. I think we'll leave the old grille & bumper on until after it's painted, but at least he can start driving it soon (besides in the pasture!)



Just thought I'd share a little of the joy with ya'll. Hmmm...I wonder if doors are actually a requirement? They aren't on the Jeep...
