Longhorn Bed Wood
Longhorn Bed Wood Has anyone recently replaced the bed wood in a longbed or longhorn?
I am preparing to replace the original decking in my bed and have not yet found a source for the new material. I can purchase red oak 1 x 8 lumber locally for around $4 a lineal foot (80 total feet req'd). This method would using my router to cut the groove along each edge of the boards. I would still have restore the metal strips and buy alot of hardware. Buying an entire kit may be easier and cheaper in the long run. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
