Another question about wheels

Hey we have a 68C10 stepside, we put the older style 66 fenders on it, as we liked the look better. How wide a tire could we get under this truck and with what offset rim would we need. We definetely don't want to narrow the 12 bolt rearend, just want the wide look with offsets. Hope you can help, and oh it still is the 6 lug, but are contemplating changing it over to five if someone could give me definite vehicles that would fit.
