I can't get timing set
Trying to find best timing for my 283. Was set at 6 initial with vac adv unhooked. I have it at 15 initial and about 40 total @3200 and still no ping at any rpm even if I lug it. Can I go more if it's not pinging ? I checked balancer and it has a timing mark on inner and outer ring and it has not slipped. I've timed many motors before and they always pinged if you went too far, why won't it ping and what should I do ?
