Drove the longhorn today
I know I shouldn't...but I did. (ask TJ...he's heard the sucker knockin)
I was plannin on getting some stuff from *HER* place, and plus I needed to pull my dad's boat forward so i could wash the mold and crap off of it for father's day. Well, I did get the boat part done, but then when i went to run some errands, she didn't want to. I discovered my new aftermarket temp guage is dead. It was showing signs of overheating, which i noticed at about the time I noticed it wasn't rolling forward with my foot off the brakes and in gear. About 1/2 block later, the sucker wouldn't move onless I had it at 1/2 throttle. (Which makes LOTS of knocking noises) D@mn thing made me walk. Once it sat for a couple hrs and cooled down, the brakes were released. I think I have the pushrod going to the master cylinder just a tad too long. (been there...done that) Got pics of the truck with the boat....and of the boat...it was pretty nasty. It's sat in the back yard for almost 4 years pretty much untouched...and another 1 1/2 years in a parking lot before that. He's thinking of putting it in the water this summer since hang gliding isn't looking too comefortable. (he had a gliding accident last fall for those who don't remember or are too new to know...fell 40 feet and landed on his face when his glider didn't work as planned) Anyways....enough babbling from me...pic time. The one of the moldy boat was the last min thought of a before pic. This was in the back area...the whole boat was like this when I started. a bottle of Spray 9 cleaner (awsome stuff by the way) and a couple hrs with a hose and truck washing brush, and iot was all white again. |
