NV 4500 tranny swap

Hey, anybody ever done this? It seems like a good idea. I have a 456 rear end spinning 35s. The bigger tires helped some but I still need an overdrive. I've heard that the dodge version of this tranny might work better because of linkage location. Also I think its a hydraulic clutch. How do you approach that?
