torque converter locked up?
What would happen if my torque converter was locked up, I put the tranny in reverse, and applied the brakes tightly? Wouldn't this cause engine grumbling, difficulty stopping the rear wheels from turning, etc?
I ask because I'm trying to figure out why my brakes won't stop my rear tires. I have a very solid brake pedal and the rear tires are up off the pavement.
So I'm starting to think it's not brake-related. My e-brake won't stop the rear tires either. Could this be torque converter lockup issue? It's a new 700r4 and I haven't wired up any torque converter control yet. So I suppose it could be stuck?
