86swb, I agree with you 100%. My newest truck is a 79, and like you, I like no payment, low insurance, and the fact that I can work on them. My biggest problem is all my tools and truck are at my parents home, 220 miles from me. I didn't mean the money pit comment as a negative, just a fact of life. Anything over 10 years old is going to require some outlay of cash to keep it going.
