Frigidaire vs Sanden

The big brown truck delivered my polished Sanden 508 a/c compressor today.
I just had to throw it on the bathroom scale and compare it to the axial compressor that was on my truck originally. The results.... drum roll please......

Sanden model 508 - 18 lbs
Frigidaire model 085933 - 38 lbs

That is a whopping 20 lbs savings in just the a/c compressor itself. I'm sure if I included all the associated bracketry it would be even greater difference. If anyone is interested, I can take some pics tomorrow.

I have a 19"x30.5" aluminum parallel flow condensor on order. When it comes in I will compare it to the stock condensor. Between the compressor, mounting brackets, condensor and hoses, I am anticipating almost 30 lbs of weight reduction.... and it ALL comes off the front of the truck AHEAD of the wheels.
