Mounting '82 corvette buckets..

I just picked up a set of '82 corvette bucket seats and I'm now wondering the best route to mount them. They need to be higher than their factory tracks by 6-7" and I was curious if anyone had experience doing something like that. If I have to drill holes in the floor of the cab to mount, is there a standard way of securing the mounting bolts(are washers enough)? Thanks for any ideas.
