Headliner considered sacrilege?

I have considered two different style headliners. My first question is would this be considered a mod that will ruin the character of the Blazer?

We constantly are looking for ways to quiet down our rigs and a nice headliner with sound deadener would do it.

My first thought was to make masonite panels and adhere them to the three recessed areas of the top. Leaving the rest of the top original. Even these three upholstered panels would quiet her down pretty good.

My next idea was a full blown headliner.

What do you guys think?
