Power Window & door lock wires

I am going to install the Electric-life power windows and door locks into my 72 C10. I was wondering what most people were doing about getting the wires from the inside of the door through the door pillar. It looks like the SS wire loom kit that Electric-life carries is good but...looking inside the door on the side close to the pillar where I would have to drill a 1/2" hole...the metal is not flat but concave. Looks like you would have to drill through this and then the flat piece of metal to get out of the door, then drill through the pillar which also seems to have 2 layers before you reach the cavity where the fresh air vent goes. Has anybody done this...what is the best way to route wires to the door???
