What does this crome pc mean?

Do I ask the dumbest questions or what?

Here's my '72 that I've been sitting on for 6 years now and just started getting it back into shape. I know, I know, I suck. I got this truck from my uncle, where it was a desert truck. He was pretty out there, and painted EVERTHING white including his toys. I'm talking even the garden hose was painted white.

So, now I want to bring 'er back to life and looking stock. I plan on using this mainly as a toy, hauling 'round my doghouse, but may also use it as a pickup.

So to my question... what does the crome piece say about the originalness of my truck? Should there be other crome pieces, or is this it?

BTW - I live in CA, and this setup is going to Alaska in a year.
