77 Stepper update! Pic!

Hey guys!

Finally got the step bed installed onto my stepper today -- Looks and rides far better now!

Shes got a good HO 350 in her from a mid 80s 1 ton truck. Has a Q-Jet in need of choke work (been a while since I've fiddled with a carb, spoiled by EFI, lol) but otherwise runs great!

TH350 tranny at the moment (coming out tommorow night to be replaced with a 700r4) and a higher ratio rear end. Not sure what exactly, but she revs like crazy on the highway. I'd guess 3.73 - 4.10. PO told me that his PO had a gear change done to give it a bit more guts off the line. Open diff though

Body is the only thing bad on this truck. The interior is gorgeous, and mechanically speaking, it is awesome!

Plans at the moment are to use it as a winter truck for now, then come this spring I'll do the sheet metal work it needs (cab corners, rockers, and floor supports) and give it a quick shot of paint. Should be able to sell it for a fair amount here, step side trucks are very uncommon, I only know of one other in the area.
