67-72 4x4 t-case

Did most 67-72 Chevy/GMC trucks have divorced or married t-cases?

I have a married Rockwell 221 that has internal issues, and probably will need to convert to an NP 205 sometime, which doesn't seem to be any big deal according to past threads. Which is better, divorced or married? Is it any harder to swap from a married t-case to a divorced one?
