parts interchange 71 chev

I just went out and looked at a 71 or 72 C30 that I can drag home for $250, and yes it is a total rust bucket. What I was wondering is about the front disc brake spindles and control arms, are these all heavier on a c30 or is there anything that can be done with these to mount into a 6 lug half ton if I buy new rotors and ball joints? The brake booster and M cylinder is still in the truck along with the power steering box. The only body part that is any good is the hood, and parts of the grill are OK. Still has a flat deck and duals on and the 4 speed is still in place, none of which I need or want, just makes it heavier to move. Actually has nice vinyl factory bench with no tears, but what do ya do with it?
