low profile seat idea
okay, sittin' in my chair at work, wracking my brain on ways to get some more legroom, and it hits me. what about the chair i'm sittin' in? it's super comfy for all-day sittin' and very low profile to boot. also, instead of fabric, it uses some really cool mesh that's strong and lightweight and very breathable. it gets me wondering, "can i use this in my truck?" i'd have to fab brackets of course, but it could be really cool. it's very adjustable, and would maximize legroom better than anything i can think of.
of course, i'll never get to try this one. the chairs are pricey (though i may be able to get good broken ones from the man. with my designer discount. hmmm.) but none at the office are broken. yet. they could be removed from the base and mounted on a cool fabbed seat bracket. anyway, since they are kind of see-through, a person could show off a well crafted stereo speaker box behind the seat, or just about anything. see pics below. sorry they're such poor quality. i only have my phone to take the pics with. anyone willing to try something like this? |
