Power Steering Gear!

Hello all,
I have removed my Power Steering Gear on my 70 GMC Longhorn and want to rebuid it. The guy at NAPA said they sell the kit and he would help me. I wanted to ask the Board members first if they had ever tried this and if there were any issues that I may expect while attempting this? I figured this would make a good FAQ when I was done. I currently did not find one in the FAQ search. Thanks to all whom reply.
Respectfully
