It lives again!

I got my 77 back today from my bro-in-laws tranny shop. He had to order a new speedo gear housing to change the speedo gear set. Now I have a 700r4 that doesn't leak out the driveshaft yoke, has the correct speedo gears, and shifts when it's supposed to.

I'm not sure if the transmission shifting correctly made the difference, or the break in period preprogrammed in the ECM has passed, but the new motor is really coming to life now.

It pulls hard out of the hole at 1/2 throttle, and doesn't stop pulling through all the gears. I can't wait to get a few miles on it so I can hammer it full throttle.

The down side of all this is the alternator belt started slipping. I located a bracket that had a missing bolt. I have to chase down the correct bolt so I can get the belt tight and stop the squealing.

Yeah, I know this thread is worthless without pics. Sorry, but the truck was pretty dusty. I'll clean it up this weekend and get some current pics....
