Lets talk hub caps...3/4 ton and one ton

About 2 or 3 years ago, someone on here found an NOS 1969 hubcap still in the box, and was startled to discover it was gray, and not white nor stainless.
Does anyone know who this was?
Did anyone save the photo?

I have 3 of these. I remember they are 69 only items. However, I noticed something really wierd... they aren't as tall as the white caps nor the stainless ones.

Has anyone discovered odd looking ORIGINAL wheels that would hold the hubcap further out? I don't see how these would clear the axle in the back.
