pic request: chrome glove box w/woodgrain?

tinkering with the idea for my '72 cheyenne. i currently have the woodgrain trim on the dash cluster and glove box (not original, i know, but i really like it.)

i was thinking, since the dash cluster has the chrome around the edges and gauges, it would make sense if the glove box mirrored that design, instead of being painted the same as the rest of the dash.

so, i was thinking of picking up a chrome door and applying the woodgrain to it (i wouldn't want to see the whole door in chrome, just the edges.) it's not quite the same as the cheyenne super woodgrain w/chrome, but maybe better?

what do you think? anyone else done it? $100 is kinda steep to try out an idea.
