Bed swap...wood for steel (?)

My K-20 has wood bed that is in pretty good shape. I'm pretty sure this truck is going to be sitting outside it's entire life and get used for hauling stuff that would really tear up a really nice wood bed. Thinking about swapping out for a steel bed that I could possibly get Line-X'ed or something similar.

The questions are these:

• Could I convert the wood bed to steel?
• If conversion isn't easy or possible, you think someone / anyone would trade me a steel bed for my wood bed?
