Help! Idling out of control

Well, this has been an on going problem. It started with my old Carb.(Q-Jet) and since then I installed an new (remanufactured one) with an automatic choke. I hooked all my vaccum lines/linkage/ springs..... I even warmed up the truck as the direction said for idle adjustment. I adjusted the idle all the way out to where the shouldn't be any idle.. but no normal idle...
Is there some where else on my linkage or throttle cable that may be sticking?

Please help.

I'll post a picture tomorrow, thanks..
