Good news and bad

Just finished a coolant flush and replacement. Replaced the 180 thermostat w/ a 192. I also installed a mechanical temp gauge.
Then I took it for a spin to the store and back. The temp didn't go above 190 and hovered at 180 while driving. So all in all I managed to cool things down by a good 15 degrees on average.

One thing tho, I noticed the lower part of the rad was cold when I got back. I guess some of the tubes are plugged. I'm assuming this isn't normal. The rad is only about 3 yrs. old but I guess it needs some maintenance. Is this normal or is my assumption about the rad right?

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.
