Instrument Cluster
Hey all! Haven't done much work to the truck recently but I founda little side project I thought I'd do. I have a set of performance gauge under the heater controls BUT I'm also going to tie in the original gauges also because I still want those to register instead of just "being there" and not working. I already know how I'll go about doing this, but I have two tiny questions.
1) I have the cluster set that adds the smaller gauges at the bottom (amps, oil, temp) but no orig tach. On the fuel gauge, their are two red dummy lights. One is brake fluid warning level but I can not tell what the other one is and I'm not about to pull the whole thing off yet. My manual is a little unclear on this setup. It says I have over three different dummy lights which is not true. So what is this "other" dummy light next to the BRAKE one? 2) I'm not sure where the ammeter gauge's wires hook up in the engine compartment. If I'm reading the diagrams correctly, they connect to the VOLTAGE REGULATOR box. Does anyone agree or disagree with this? My performance ammeter gauge just plugs into the fuseblock. Thanks for your help guys. There's always something new to learn.
