Raising a 2wd C/10
Hello guys I am starting to fix up my Dad's old truck. It is a '72 C/10 long bed 2wd. What is different about it is it has a 4 cyl turbo diesel from a tractor in it, which is heavier than a BB. I am planning to use the truck to pull my gooseneck trailer to antique tractor pulls.
Right now my plan for the rear is to put a Dana 60 axle in the rear under the trailing arms with the stock coil spring and also a air bag overload. The front is where I have the problem. I saw these springs http://www.airbagit-store.com/produc...sp%3Fid%3D2205 but wanted to know if anyone had ever used them. I am just wanting to raise the truck about 2 inches and have the load capacity to pull the 7000 lbs gooseneck. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks Andyt
