I am not the lone ranger???

Here is my situation the '69 C10 fleetwood I am restoring came with a '67 327 motor and a "69 powerglide tranny. The build date on the tranny is Oct. 10, 1969. (orginal tranny) I can't seem to determine the build date for the truck overall. (any suggestions?? ) It seems to make sense that it is after the 10th of Oct. 1969, so I need to locate a motor that was assembled /casted in the same month October or in September of "69. (How far apart should the motor and tranny build dates be apart???) The other thing that bothers me in my quest to uncover the history of this truck, (I know by the model number CE10934 it came equipped with a V8)... is what motor I need. I have narrowed it to either a 350 or 307 (yuck).............any suggestions...directions....advise...would be greatly appreciated.......I know I am not the lone ranger in this quest to uncover the mystery that surrounds the bowtie......
