Progress on the Longhorn. (baby steps)

I dropped the tranny out of her...key word...DROPPED. I guess dropping it on the pavement is better than the norm for me...dropping it onto my chest.
Kinda interesting thing on the tranny...
The Pontiac (I'm asuming Pontiac...it could be out of any Buick Olds or pontiac) TH350 looks a little funny compaired to the Chevy one...
Here is the Short shaft Chevy TH350 in the GMC...

And this is the BOP TH350...

(I am asuming it is a TH350...I guess I oughta look into it some more huh?)
Another interesting thing on that tranny...it has an identity problem. It thinks it is a Ford tranny.

Hmmmmm.
Also found quite an exhaust restriction under there too.

Just kidding!
So does any of our resident Pontiac guys know where I can find a build date...or maybe even a number telling me what it may have come out of?
Like I said...baby steps. That's all that I got done today.
