Talk About Tire Kickers...

I had this guy come look at my Highlander and Sierra one day.It was word of mouth through a friend,I don`t have signs on or an ad.He`s definately ready to buy one and he knows mine are priced right. He said he`d be back on that Saturday to look better and test-drive.Well,it snowed so the weekend passed w/o a call. The next Friday evening he called about coming the next morning.I had already arranged to travel 1 1/2 hrs to get the last set of Kelly Safari AWRs ($98@) in 255/85x16 available for my work truck and I had a job the next week 1/1/2 hours in the other direction with bald rubber out back.He acted like I should change my plans since he coached his son`s little league team in the afternoon and Sunday he always does paperwork in the morning and watches the races and drinks beer in the afternoon.I said,"Sorry,I`ll meet you anytime,But,I need these tires."He said he`d call.Well, the next Friday I hadn`t heard from him,so I arranged to haul the shortbed I sold from my shop to the buyer`s house. This guy calls Saturday morning as I`m heading out and is all aggrevated that I can`t accomodate him.
Originally he came about the GMC.He had looked at another nearby (Custom K/2500) from Oregon a guy brought over and is flippin`for $6,800.I`ve looked at it and when I did,I rolled up in my Sierra K/2500 that I want $7,500 for.Mine is way nicer and I could tell that seller knew it..So,I know this guy would buy my Sierra. It`s been a few weeks now and spring is here.I have work coming up.I am thinking I want one to drive, since all I`ll have is the two complete projects which could take years.I`ve also decided in these few weeks that I want to sell my work truck and get something newer this year.I really should hang on to a driver for the transition.I`m thinking that would be the Highlander since I just did all this work before parking it for winter. It needs an exhaust manifold and I`m working on changing, now.I have brand new Headman Elites for it from before I felt the need to liquidate stuff.
Now,the guy calls and it`s the Highlander that he wants and I`m telling him I changed my mind. Now he`s acting like I ran him around.I mean,it`s been a few weeks,he knows I have guys here interested(waiting for pics I can`t take/no camera) and he hasn`t handed me a deposit or comitted himself. In fact,he had me hanging up two trucks until it was convenient for him to get by.
